Comedian Kathy Griffin has received her booster (third) dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

On Tuesday, the 60-year-old actress announced on Instagram that she received the third shot of Moderna, sharing a photo of herself getting the jab at a doctor’s office.

She wrote in the caption, “3rd Moderna shot AND a flu shot! Yes. Fear me.”

Griffin also wrote Twitter, “Ummm, just got 3rd shot of Moderna AND a flu shot in the other arm.”

She got her second dose of the Moderna vaccine in May. She joked at the time that Dolly Parton, who helped fund the development of the Moderna vaccine, “put a 5G mind control chip in my head and I love it!”

Griffin is eligible for a booster dose because she is an immunocompromised person, having undergone surgery for stage 1 lung cancer in August.

In August, she said that she was having some part of her left lung removed despite having “never smoked” before her cancer diagnosis.

She said at the time, “Yes, I have lung cancer even though I’ve never smoked!”

“The doctors are very optimistic as it is stage one and contained to my left lung,” she added. “Hopefully no chemo or radiation after this and I should have normal function with my breathing. I should be up and running around as usual in a month or less.”

Last month, Griffin shared an update on her health after undergoing lung surgery in early August. She wrote on her social media accounts about her outlook on life after getting the surgery.

She wrote at the time, “One thing that sucks about cancer, it’s hard to focus on anything else when one is experiencing shortness of breath, deep coughing, pain, extreme fatigue & in my case vocal chord issues.”

“One thing that doesn’t suck about cancer… how shameless I am when clapping back at people who dare to sass Ms Kathy about anything with ‘Really, d——-??? Try CANCER!” she added. “I cannot get enough of it.”
