Jonathan Morrow, a postal worker from Drumbeg, Craigavon, UK, had to lose his job after he was accused of stealing £1,000 ($1,302) Viagra (sildenafil) and an iPhone worth £1,200 ($1,562)

On Wednesday, standing in the dock of Craigavon Magistrates Court, the 34-year-old accepted that he understood the charges against him.

Morrow was accused of stealing and interfering with mail as a postal worker in March. He is accused of stealing 1,000 Viagra tablets and an iPhone on March 27.

Viagra (sildenafil) is a prescription drug advised for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It is a prescription-only drug so it must be used under the supervision of a medical provider.

Morrow’s lawyer told the court that the accused had to resign from his employment with Parcelforce Worldwide, which is a courier and logistics service in the UK.

According to a police officer, Morrow could be associated with the offences while a prosecuting lawyer enforced a dissolution until January 15, 2020, for more updates on the case.

Defense lawyer, Philip Reid, said, “He worked for Parcelforce and it was during the course of his employment there which this is alleged to have occurred. He was then suspended.”

“He spoke to his employers who advised him to resign. He did so but has had difficulties signing on for benefits for the first three months due to resigning and he has no income at the moment,” Reid added. Mark McGarrity, Deictic Judge, ordered Morrow to appear again in the court on January 15.
