It seems that Camila Cabello deserves a big round of applause for her powerful message to body shamers, which she posted on her Instagram story over the weekend.

The 22-year-old singer has voiced her opinion against body shamers and said that a woman’s body should not look “airbrushed” to be considered beautiful or to get an Instagram like.

Cabello wrote, “I haven’t gone on social media AT ALL with the conscious intention of avoiding things that hurt my feelings, but for a second I forgot while trying to find a pic to post about it being Havana’s 2 year anniversary and my eyes accidentally ran over a head line of people ‘body shaming me.’”

Admitting that first reaction was of concern and worry, the Havana singer wrote, “Honestly first thing I felt was super insecure just IMAGINING what these pictures must look like, oh no! My cellulite! Oh no! I didn’t suck in my stomach!”

Later, she said that she remembered that her “body’s not made of rock, or muscle, for that matter.”

She continued to explain how the practice of photo editing has changed the way girls view themselves and pushing themselves to seek perfection that is not real.

She wrote, “I’m writing this for girls like my little sister who are growing up on social media. They’re constantly seeing photoshopped, edited pictures and thinking that’s reality, and everyone’s eyes get used to seeing airbrushed bodies and airbrushed skin, and suddenly they think THAT’S the norm.”

She explained that the “airbrushed” body portray is nothing but an unrealistic view of a woman’s body, which is actually not achievable/ “Girls, cellulite is normal, fat is normal. It’s beautiful and natural,” wrote Cabello.
