Georgia-based rapper 6 Dogs, whose music inspired many fans in recent years, passed away at the age of 21, according to multiple sources on social media.

A Twitter user Gwen Stacy wrote, “6 dogs was one of the nicest people I ever had the pleasure of talking to. One of the only people who never changed when the clout came. he will forever be a part of my life and memories. So down to earth. So encouraging. So based. Rest in paradise.”

The cause of his death is unclear. His manager was not available for comment on 6 Dogs’ death.

Several rappers and people who worked with 6 Dogs, whose real name was Chase Amick, confirmed the news by sharing photos with him on social media.

Rapper Yung Gravy wrote on Instagram, “RIP Chase,” adding that 6 Dogs “inspired me in so many ways and helped me grow as an artist and a person.”

Record label Masked Gorilla tweeted, “6 Dogs was a very spiritual person. My thoughts, prayers, and energy is with him and his family forever.”

The young artist rose to fame with a series of melodic songs about mental health issues, such as suicide, depression among others, according to a biography on Apple Music.

Chase started rapping as a teenager, but he had to keep his music secret due to his religious mother.

In 2016, he uploaded his first songs to SoundCloud, eventually gaining over 140,000 followers on the platform.

One of his biggest hits was “Faygo Dreams,” while others include “Flossing,” “Spooky” and “Drifting.”

Chase was also described online as an “underground legend” and a “beautiful soul,” according to NY Daily News. Slow Magic, another music artist said it was “hard to believe this is real news.” He tweeted, “I really felt a connection with the music and his future felt so bright.”
