“One thing I will say is that this bulls*** has raised a really important conversation about how we gaslight people whose illnesses aren’t visible.”

It seems like Jameela Jamil is continuing to deny claims that she has been lying about her health issues.

Last week, the 33-year-old continued to deny online accusations that she has Munchausen syndrome, aka factitious disorder.

Munchausen syndrome is a mental health illness that makes people fabricate their health scares for attention.

Jamil tweeted, “One thing I will say is that this bulls*** has raised a really important conversation about how we gaslight people whose illnesses aren’t visible.”

The Good Place actress also thanked her fans for the sweet messages that she received over the last few days. She even went on to compare her struggles to those of Jane Fonda, Gloria Steinem, Tarana Burke, and Lizzo.

She said, “I’m clearly doing something right… Jane Fonda, Gloria Steinem, Tarana Burke, Lizzo all the strongest women get a truckload of s*** for a while. Strong, loud, defiant women are scary.”

Former Jezebel editor Tracie Morrissey accused Jamil of feigning her illnesses, such as having breast cancer twice, mercury poisoning, seizures, multiple car accidents, injuries, and even Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

Morrissey started compiling Jamil’s interviews and video clips and sharing them on her Instagram account.

Last week, Jamil addressed the claims without naming Morrissey. She wrote, “First I’m lying about my sexuality, now I’m now being accused of munchausens? By an unhinged idiot who didn’t even realize in all her ‘research’ that my car accident injury stories are ‘different’ because they were about TWO SEPARATE CAR ACCIDENTS 13 years apart? You can keep it.”

Jamil also said she would not listen to the accusations against her. She wrote, “Not afraid of you or your dumb internet conspiracy theories. Keep them coming. You just add to my relevance.”

“I’m gonna keep helping people with eating disorders, and changing laws and global policies to protect kids and their mental health and there’s NOTHING you can do about it.” Last week, Jamil’s boyfriend James Blake shared a lengthy note on his Twitter account about her health issues.
