It looks like Pharrell Williams, 47, has not aged in the last 20 years.

It’s 2021 and the rapper refuses to succumb to the effects of aging as we all do. He has literally been retaining the appearance of a man decades younger – thanks to his skincare routine.

The N.E.R.D. front-man has recently shared his own skincare routine. He said, “Skincare and skin health is not a gender-specific thing. It’s a human, hygienic and considerate thing. Your body is one thing, and your face is another,” according to Men’s Health.

Williams spoke to GQ, a leading Men’s magazine, and talked through his skincare routine, offering a few tips, including some from none Naomi Campbell.

His 3-step skincare routine begins with cleansing. For that, he adds a little hot water, working the cleanser in circular motions and “always going upwards,” the tip he picked up from Campbell.

Williams then does exfoliation, as “it gets rid of the dead skin and allows the new skin to come to life under what was there.” He said, “I’m always exfoliating like a mad man.”

The third and final step in his skincare routine is moisturizing. The singer said, “It’s important to moisturize because you want to lock in the moisture.”

Williams’ wife, Helen Lasichanh, and doctor are both advocates for regular sunscreen use during the day. At night, he uses a vitamin C serum because “it locks in moisture.”

Another most important thing Williams does is drinking plenty of water. He said, “All I drink is water,” which keeps him constantly hydrated and fresh.

“Being submerged in water is really good for your skin,” Williams suggested. “I recommend Epsom salt bath, 20-30 minutes to sweat out the toxins and when you’re cooling down your pores close and your face looks like porcelain.” The article originally appeared on Men’s Health, Australia.
