Stevie Wonder Kidney Transplant

Stevie Wonder told people about this medical condition after finishing his set at British Summer Time Hyde Park concert in London. He revealed that he will be undergoing a kidney transplant this September.

He announced that he had found a donor and would perform three more concerts before the surgery in September, saying, “I’m all good, I’m all good, all good, I have a donor and it’s all good.”

Soon after finishing the song Superstition, he told the crowd he wanted to prevent “rumors” spreading about his health.

He said, “I want you to know, I came here to give you my love and thank you for your love. I love you and God bless you.”

The crowd greeted the news with a loud, supportive cheer, acclaiming the 69-year-old singer.

The National Health Service (NHS) says, “The most common reason for needing a transplant is kidney failure or end-stage chronic kidney disease.” One can donate a kidney while still they are alive as they can survive with a solitary kidney as well.
