Britney Spears’ fans are concerned about her well-being after shocking allegations have emerged that she might have been held against her will.

In January, a message was shared on her Insta account, stating, “I will not be performing my new show. A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalized and almost died. I had to make the difficult decision to put my full focus and energy on my family at this time.”

Then in April, she posted that she will check into a mental health facility to spend a month for mental health rehabilitation. In fact, she even got support from her fans for checking into the facility.

Since 2007, when she publicly broke down, she has been under the custody of her father, Jamie Spears. She was not able to make any personal or financial decisions without her father’s approval.

Her father came to know that Britney was not taking her medication as recommended. He told her, “Either you take this medication or the show’s off.” Britney failed to follow her father’s instructions and he pulled the show and verbatim said, “Blame it on my illness.”

The voicemail has also alleged that the singer has actually been in the facility since mid-January, not April. According to an anonymous paralegal, Britney did not check into the facility voluntarily.

The paralegal said, “She did not want to go, this was not a decision she made at all. There is no end in sight for this stay at the mental facility.”

Lawyer Brian Buckmire with the Law & Crime Network said the paralegal has been defying legal ethics by alleging. He said, “The attorney/client privilege absolutely extends to the paralegal and anyone in the firm.” Now, social media has launched a “Free Britney” movement.
