The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has busted two over-the-counter (OTC) male enhancement supplements after they were found to be tainted with Viagra (sildenafil) and Cialis (tadalafil).

The products recalled are Thumbs Up 7 Blue 69k and Thumbs Up 7 Red 70k. While their names are almost similar, they are manufactured by two different companies. Bit & Bet LLC makes Thumbs Up 7 Blue 69k, while Antoto-K develops Thumbs Up 7 Red 70k.

These supplements are sold as OTC products to men for better performance in the bedroom. They contained undeclared sildenafil and tadalafil, which belong to the class of drugs called PDE-inhibitors.

It seems like companies like Bit & Bet LLC and Antoto-K do not actually care about the health of their customers.

Both the companies are “voluntarily” recalling the products after the FDA’s findings.

If the FDA could send in federal law enforcement when it finds yet another “tainted” supplement, you’d probably stop hearing about cases like this.

Earlier this year, the FDA recalled more than 50 male enhancement supplements sold on Amazon, eBay, and other websites, as they were found to be tainted with undeclared sildenafil and tadalafil.

The agency has been trying to prevent this type of illicit activity from happening by asking Amazon and eBay, which often sell such products, to prevent them from being sold, but the drug regulatory body can only do so much.

It will now be up to the federal agency to pursue charges against the companies that intentionally mislabeling their supplements.

Viagra and Cialis are prescription-only drugs recommended for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. These drugs could potentially decrease blood pressure to dangerous levels when taken along with medications that contain nitrates and alpha-blockers.

Also, the risks to users are great because people with cardiovascular conditions or other health issues are not advised to take these drugs. If they end up taking Viagra or Cialis, they could be putting their health at risk. The FDA urges consumers to stop using Thumbs Up 7 Blue 69k and Thumbs Up 7 Red 70k and report any side effects to their doctors.
